Rule 14
Functions and Duties of the Registrar
In addition to the functions, duties and powers mentioned elsewhere in these Regulations, the Registrar shall have the following functions and duties:-
(1) To submit the applications of doctors who come to appear for the purpose of registration to the registration committee formed under this regulation for action,
(2) To keep the register relating to the registration of medical practitioners under his charge,
(3) If it is found that someone's name is missing from the list of names or if someone sends a notification about it, to amend it as needed,
(4) To act as Treasurer of the Council,
(5) to recommend to the Council for the appointment or promotion of employees of the Council and for departmental punishment against them,
(6) To be responsible to the Council and conduct the internal day-to-day administration of the Council,
(6a) To formulate the annual program and plan of the council and submit it to the council before the end of February of each year,
(6b) To implement the budget, plan and program approved by the council (6c) to act as liaison officer between the Council and the medical practitioners registered with the Council,
(6d) To perform other tasks as ordered and instructed by the Council.
(7) To do any other work prescribed by the Government of Nepal after prior consultation with the Council.
